Hit Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Musical RuneSical to be Streamed for Free on YouTube

Reading Time: 2 mins read

RuneSical, the hit Edinburgh Fringe ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ musical comedy starring Christian Maynard can be streamed on YouTube for free from Fri 29 September.

Sword equipped. Potions ready. High-speed internet connected. Based on the hugely popular online game RuneScape, join Lance_054 (the first 53 were taken) on an interactive quest where YOU decide what happens next!

The show was filmed live in Cambridge (where RuneScape was born!) at The Town & Gown Theatre, and later this month Gigglemug Theatre (Timpson: The Musical & Scouts! The Musical) will release the recording on YouTube so it can be enjoyed for free by experienced players and total noobs alike!

After winning a BAFTA, 4 Guinness World Records and the hearts of millions of players worldwide, RuneScape has finally achieved something significant… it’s now the subject of a brand new comedy musical! The Stage Award-winning Gigglemug Theatre, keen to make their work as accessible as possible, previously uploaded their hit debut show Timpson: The Musical to YouTube where it racked up over 34K views.

The recording of RuneSical is split into multiple videos for viewers to click and choose between but they will only see 7 of over 20 different videos at a time so no two shows will ever be the same!
