Full casting has been announced for the London return of Hot Mess, the multi award-winning new musical, ahead of its limited season at The Other Palace.
The production will run from 13 June to 6 September 2026, with a press night scheduled for 23 June.
Created by Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote, Hot Mess is a high-energy original romcom that reimagines the climate crisis as a turbulent love story between Earth and Humanity.
Danielle Steers will reprise her acclaimed role as Earth, following the show’s sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and Southwark Playhouse.
She is joined by Morgan Gregory, who takes on the role of Humanity after recent appearances in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, Back to the Future, and Newsies.
Also in the company are Mia Quimpo as cover Earth and Nathan Shaw as cover Humanity.
Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Danielle Steers will be returning as Earth, and so excited to welcome Morgan Gregory to the company as Humanity. It was so wonderful to watch audiences fall in love with Danielle in Edinburgh and London last year, and we’re so grateful to be able to bring her back for our bigger, bolder production this year. After working with Morgan on 42 Balloons, we know what an absolute star and unbelievable triple threat performer he is. Together, they’re going to blow the roof off The Other Palace!”
Danielle Steers said: “I am super excited to be returning to Hot Mess! The show is so fun and has a really important message at its core. Can’t wait!!!”
Morgan Gregory said, “I am over the moon to be joining the team on this exciting new British musical. Working with Jack and Ellie again after 42 Balloons is an absolute delight and they continue to make magic.”
Following its world premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025, the show transferred to London where it received critical acclaim and multiple awards, including a Fringe First and Musical Theatre Review’s Best Musical Award.
The production features choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento, set design by Shankho Chaudhuri, lighting by Ryan Joseph Stafford, and sound design by Paul Gatehouse, with musical supervision by Joe Beighton.
Blending pop music with satire, Hot Mess explores love, hope, and environmental collapse through the lens of a chaotic relationship between a planet and its inhabitants.
