Sisters Grimm, the internationally acclaimed arts company founded by Pietra Mello-Pittman MBE and Ella Spira MBE, will open House of Sisters Grimm in London’s West End on Friday 28 November 2025.
Located at 23–25 Eastcastle Street, House of Sisters Grimm will serve as a permanent cultural destination, uniting the company’s three creative pillars: the Grammy-nominated South African dance musical INALA, the fine-wine and cocktail bar iGOLI, and The Gallery, a multimedia immersive art space.
At the heart of the venue is INALA, co-created by Ella Spira and the late Joseph Shabalala, founder of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, with choreography by Mark Baldwin OBE. The production has toured globally since its 2014 premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival and now features narration by Ndaba Mandela.
Following a sold-out South African premiere at Joburg Theatre in May 2025, INALA will now be performed in a permanent residency format in London, beginning with an invitation-only Gala Night on 28 November.
Performances will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with two shows nightly at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Each ticket includes a red-carpet arrival, a glass of bubbles, a professional photo opportunity, and immersive access to The Gallery and iGOLI from 5:00pm to midnight.
iGOLI is the first exclusively South African fine-wine bar in London, developed with wine authority Michael Fridjhon and Spirits & Bubbles’ Julian Naik, with cocktails by the Sin+Tax team. The bar will feature site-specific wines, artist-label collaborations, and a curated non-alcoholic cocktail menu.
The Gallery will open with Global Landscapes: South Africa, a major series by Ella Spira MBE, created at iconic South African locations. The immersive installation combines large-scale paintings, sound, and light to create a sensory experience.
Pietra Mello-Pittman MBE said: “House of Sisters Grimm consolidates our decade-plus of global touring into a permanent, audience-first destination. By uniting INALA, iGOLI and the Gallery under one roof, we are curating a premium yet welcoming experience where world-class performance, fine wine and contemporary art live side by side.”
Ella Spira MBE added: “Our ambition is to deliver artistic excellence with real-world relevance. London audiences will be able to experience INALA with the depth and continuity it deserves, surrounded by South Africa’s greatest wines and visual narratives that extend the performance into the space.”
The venue also continues Sisters Grimm’s social impact mission through a partnership with Lawyers against Abuse (LvA), supporting survivors of gender-based violence through advocacy, art, and policy reform.
