Jemma Redgrave will lead a special fundraising concert of Honk! at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre next month.

The one‑off performance of Stiles and Drewe’s celebrated adaptation of The Ugly Duckling will take place at 2.30pm on Sunday 12 April and will raise vital funds for the venue.

Joining Jemma Redgrave on stage will be Annie Kirkman, Alyce Liburd, Carl Patrick, Sarah Pearman, Georgie Samuels and Simon Slater.

The production will be directed and musically directed by Alex Weatherhill, who will also accompany the cast on piano. Chantell Walker serves as Associate Director.

The Stephen Joseph Theatre moved into its current Art Deco home in 1996, marking a transformative chapter in its history.

Honk! premiered at the venue in 1997 before going on to international acclaim, with more than 8,000 productions worldwide and the 2000 Olivier Award for Best Musical.

The story, based on The Ugly Duckling, has become beloved across the globe for its uplifting themes of difference and belonging.

This special concert reunites SJT favourites for a joyful afternoon celebrating the show’s much‑loved score.

All proceeds will support the theatre’s New Work Fund, which helps develop new productions and nurture emerging talent. The SJT is a Registered Charity (253606), and every ticket supports future creative work.

Honk! will be performed at 2.30pm on Sunday 12 April. Tickets cost £25 and are available via the SJT box office on 01723 370541 or online.

A limited number of £75 VIP tickets include a souvenir programme, entry to a post‑show gala with the cast, and a buffet with a glass of prosecco. VIP tickets can be booked by calling 01723 370541 or emailing [email protected].
