Jennifer Ellison has been announced as the latest casting addition to the 2026/27 UK and Ireland tour of Mean Girls The Musical.
The stage and television star will play Ms Heron, Ms Norbury and Mrs George in Bristol, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Wimbledon, Birmingham, Southampton and Newcastle.
As previously announced, Faye Tozer will perform the role in Canterbury, Blackpool, Dublin, Crawley, Bradford, Norwich, Nottingham and Sheffield.
Ellison joins a cast led by Emily Lane as Cady Heron, Vivian Panka as Regina George, Kiara Dario as Gretchen Wieners, Sophie Pourret as Karen Smith, Georgie Buckland as Janis Sarkisian, Max Gill as Damian Hubbard, Ben Oatley as Aaron Samuels, Karim Zeroual as Kevin Ganatra and Joshua Elmore as Mr Duvall.
Based on the hit Paramount Pictures film, Mean Girls The Musical follows Cady Heron as she navigates the social hierarchy of North Shore High and finds herself drawn into a battle with the school’s ruling clique, The Plastics.
The musical enjoyed a successful West End run at the Savoy Theatre from June 2024 to June 2025, where it was seen by more than 330,000 people. Earlier this year it was named Best New Musical at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards.
The show features a book by Tina Fey, music and vocal arrangements by Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Nell Benjamin and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw.
Ellison’s theatre credits include Singin’ in the Rain, Chicago and Boeing Boeing, alongside national tours of Greatest Days, Legally Blonde and Calendar Girls. Her screen credits include Brookside, The Bill, Hotel Babylon and Phantom of the Opera.
The UK and Ireland tour continues until January 2027, visiting venues across England, Scotland and Ireland.
