The Orchard Theatre has announced that Joe Pasquale will star in this year’s festive pantomime Cinderella, marking a major moment in the venue’s return following its refurbishment.

A long-standing favourite with pantomime audiences across the UK, Joe Pasquale will bring his trademark comedy, boundless energy and decades of experience to the Dartford stage.

The production will open on Saturday 12 December 2026 and run until Sunday 3 January 2027, forming part of the Orchard Theatre’s highly anticipated reopening programme.

Joe Pasquale last appeared in pantomime in Dartford in 2016 and is returning to a venue he describes as one of his favourites.

Joe Pasquale said: ‘I’m so excited to be coming back to Dartford in panto this year, especially as it will be in the newly refurbished Orchard theatre. It is one of my favourite venues in the country; it feels like I’m coming home.’

The theatre’s director Tal Rosen also welcomed the announcement.

Tal Rosen said: ‘We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Joe Pasquale to the cast of this year’s spectacular pantomime, Cinderella, as we return to the newly refurbished Orchard Theatre. Joe’s incredible humour and wealth of pantomime experience make him the perfect addition; we can’t wait to see the magic he brings to the stage. A much-loved favourite with Orchard Theatre audiences over the years, it feels especially fitting to have Joe back with us for this very special reopening.’

Produced by award-winning Imagine Theatre, Cinderella promises festive sparkle, laugh-out-loud comedy, show-stopping songs and plenty of audience participation.

The classic fairy tale follows Cinderella as she dreams of a happier life away from her wicked stepsisters, until a magical Fairy Godmother transforms her fate and sends her to the royal ball.

With more casting to be announced, the production is billed as a perfect festive treat for the whole family.
