Rose Theatre has announced that Kara Lily Hayworth will complete the cast of Cinderella, a brand-new retelling of the classic fairytale, premiering this festive season.
Hayworth will play Lilith/Lady Dungeness in the production, which features a professional cast performing alongside members of the celebrated Rose Youth Theatre.
The cast also includes Hannah Akhalu as Snotterella, Corrina Buchan as Groterella, Maddy Hunter as Ella, Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Prince Chadley, and Simon Yadoo as Richard / Lord Richard.
Written by Olivier Award-winner Chris Bush (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) and Roni Neale, with music by Matt Winkworth, Cinderella promises a funny, big-hearted retelling of the beloved story.
“When Ella makes a Christmas wish, she’s swept from family mayhem into a land of glittering castles, dazzling balls, and a forgetful prince,” reads the show’s synopsis. “But she soon learns that happily-ever-afters aren’t always what they seem, and that family and friendship might be the greatest magic of all.”
The production is directed by Owen Horsley, with design by Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting by Bretta Gerreke, sound by Dan Balfour, and movement by Shay Barclay. Puppetry is directed by Yvonne Stone, with intimacy and fight direction by Claire Llewellyn, voice and dialect coaching by Josh Mathieson, and casting by Arthur Carrington.
Cinderella runs at Rose Theatre Kingston from 26 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, with a press night on Thursday 4 December.
