Lambeth Fringe has announced the first wave of programming for its 2026 festival, revealing more than 200 shows set to take place across South London between 24 September and 25 October.
Now in its 11th year, the festival continues to grow, with 28 venues taking part and a programme spanning theatre, comedy, cabaret, music, spoken word, dance and family entertainment.
New venues joining the festival this year include South London Theatre, Off the Cuff and Toulouse Lautrec, while a new partnership with Lambeth Libraries further expands the festival’s reach into community spaces across the borough.
Among the productions featured in this year’s programme are How To Direct A Funeral, opening at Bread & Roses Theatre before returning to St Stephen’s Chapel in West Norwood Cemetery, comedy show Double Fantasy: A Stand Up Comedy Show, spoken word performance The World at 15mph… ish, and cabaret concert Happy Heart – The Songs of Andy Williams.
The opening week includes international solo performance Los años maravillosos: Archive, Image and Collapse, immersive dream-inspired experience 梦人 Dreammaker, dance production Mekhala & Ramasura: The Jewel of Light and the Storm, and family favourite KIZZA – COMEDY MAGIC SHOW.
Throughout October, audiences can also catch productions including Love vs Fear (…and my mother’s prayers), Sex, Drugs and DnB, The Untold Fable of Fritz, GP Receptionist Appreciation Society, The Ultimate Bubble Show, Progress In Work, HR at the Bomb Factory, Tall Tails, Bad Indian, A Heart in Two Places and The Unexpected Depth of Grief felt by Goats.
This year’s festival continues its commitment to supporting emerging artists and underrepresented voices while showcasing the cultural diversity and creative energy of Lambeth.

This year’s application process was one of our strongest yet, which made curating the programme both incredibly exciting and a real challenge, as there was so much brilliant work to choose from.

Lambeth Fringe is produced by the team behind the award-winning Bread & Roses Theatre. Following support from Lambeth Council’s RE:Purpose Grant in January 2026, the venue underwent a major regeneration designed to strengthen its support for artists and independent theatre across the borough.
The festival runs from 24 September to 25 October 2026 at venues across Lambeth, with ticket prices ranging from Pay What You Can to £20.
