Punchdrunk has confirmed that LANDER 23 will complete its current mission on 10 May 2026 at the company’s Woolwich home.

Originally intended for a limited run, the production extended its dates in January due to audience demand. It now prepares to wrap up after captivating visitors with its fusion of immersive theatre and live‑action gaming.

Described as a live action video game, LANDER 23 places players at the centre of the experience. Participants are split into two squads: Drivers in Command and Fields on the ground. Fields navigate the alien terrain while Drivers guide them solely through voice communication.

There are no spectators and every player takes part, with teamwork essential throughout the mission.

The narrative follows the disappearance of the previous crew of Lander 23 after encountering a powerful new energy source. A distress signal was sent before all communication ceased, leaving incoming teams to continue their work, gather radiance and survive hostile conditions.
