Lee Mead has announced a brand-new nationwide tour and accompanying book to celebrate 20 years since his breakthrough victory on BBC’s Any Dream Will Do.
The West End favourite will hit the road in autumn 2027 with The Colours of My Life, a new solo show combining live music and personal stories from across his career. The tour will include a performance at the Palace Theatre, Paignton, on 6 November 2027.
The tour marks two decades since Mead beat more than 10,000 hopefuls to win Any Dream Will Do, earning the title role in the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and launching a career that has seen him become one of British musical theatre’s best-known leading men.
Since then, Mead has starred in major productions including Wicked, Legally Blonde, Sister Act, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago and Barnum.
Accompanied by musical director and pianist Adam Dennis, Mead will take audiences on a journey through the highs and lows of his career, sharing stories from West End dressing rooms, opening nights and his experiences on stage and screen.
The tour coincides with the release of Mead’s new book, also titled The Colours of My Life, which looks back on the first 20 years of his career.
Speaking about the project, Mead said: “The last 20 years have been incredible and I can’t wait to share the highlights with audiences from around the country – it’s going to be a very special tour.”
Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am on 28 August 2026, with meet and greet and VIP packages also available.
