Actor, TV presenter and chef Lisa Faulkner will return to the stage for the first time in 21 years in the world premiere of Single White Female. The stage adaptation of the iconic 90s psychological thriller will embark on a major UK and Ireland tour from January 2026.
Faulkner, known for Missing You, The Girl Before and Holby City, stars alongside Kym Marsh (Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, Abigail’s Party) in this bold and modern reimagining of the hit 1992 movie from Columbia Pictures and bestselling book by John Lutz.
The brand-new play, adapted by author and broadcaster Rebecca Reid, opens on 9 January 2026 at Brighton’s Theatre Royal before touring nationwide until June. Tickets are available now at swfonstage.com.
The story follows Allie, a recently divorced mum juggling single parenthood and a tech start-up. When she advertises for a lodger, the charming Hedy seems like the perfect solution—until boundaries blur and the arrangement spirals into chilling consequences.
Lisa Faulkner said:
“I’m hugely excited to be returning to the stage playing opposite the utterly fantastic Kym Marsh. I remember getting chills watching Single White Female in the cinema back in 1992 so it’s a real thrill to be part of this bold new production. I cannot wait to bring this fascinating story to life and keep audiences around the UK on the edge of their seats!”
Directed by Gordon Greenberg (Guys & Dolls, The Baker’s Wife), and produced by JAS Theatricals, ATG Productions and Gavin Kalin Productions, the play promises dark humour, suspenseful storytelling and a gripping update for the age of social media.
