Little Angel Theatre has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 season as it prepares to celebrate 65 years of pioneering puppetry for young audiences.

The Islington-based venue will present a mix of brand-new adaptations and returning favourites, both on its stages and on tour across the UK.

Highlights include the London premiere of Toto the Ninja Cat and the Great Snake Escape, a new family musical based on Dermot O’Leary’s best-selling book. Adapted by Olivier-nominated duo Samantha Lane and Barb Jungr, the production runs at Little Angel Theatre from 16 May to 19 July as part of a UK tour.

Also featured is Ian Nicholson and Sam Wilde’s inventive adaptation of Jon Klassen’s beloved trilogy in I Want My Hat Back, running at Little Angel Studios from 5 February to 9 May.

Other productions include The Flying Bath (2 May – 12 July), adapted by Artistic Director Samantha Lane from Julia Donaldson’s playful tale, and The Everywhere Bear (7 February – 19 April), based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Rebecca Cobb.

Families can also enjoy A Squash and a Squeeze, a musical adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s classic, touring the UK from 26 February to 22 March.

Artistic Director Samantha Lane and Executive Director Peta Swindall said:

“As we look ahead to Little Angel Theatre’s 65th anniversary, we are reflecting on a legacy built from imagination, craft and the belief that puppetry can open doors to whole new worlds. This Spring/Summer season celebrates that spirit. We’re thrilled to share stories that will spark joy, curiosity and creativity in children and families everywhere.”
