Lucie Jones will reprise her acclaimed performance as Jenna in the UK and Ireland tour of Waitress, it has been announced.

Jones, who previously played the role in both the West End and on tour, will appear at King’s Theatre, Glasgow, Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield and The Lowry, Salford.

She joins a cast that includes Evelyn Hoskins as Dawn and Les Dennis as Joe, with the production continuing its nationwide run.

Jones was nominated for Best Performer in a Musical at the WhatsOnStage Awards for her performance as Jenna, and is widely recognised for roles including Fantine in Les Misérables and Elphaba in Wicked.

The musical currently stars Carrie Hope Fletcher as Jenna, with her final performance scheduled for 29 September 2026.

Sandra Marvin, who plays Becky, will depart earlier, with her final performance set for 22 August 2026, and further casting for the role to be announced.

Waitress features music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winner Sara Bareilles, with a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus.

Based on Adrienne Shelly’s 2007 film, the musical tells the story of Jenna, a talented pie maker dreaming of escape from her unhappy marriage, as she navigates love, friendship and new possibilities.

Since its Broadway debut in April 2016, Waitress has become a global success, with productions across North America, Europe and beyond.

The show opened in London’s West End in March 2019 and continues to delight audiences on tour around the UK and Ireland.
