Judy Craymer Sarah Greene and the Dyanmos celebrate the MAMMA MIA and Target Ovarian Cancer partnership

MAMMA MIA! Has announced a collaboration with Target Ovarian Cancer to raise much-needed funds to transform the future for women with ovarian cancer. 11 women die every day in the UK from this disease and ovarian cancer faces chronic underfunding compared with other cancers.

MAMMA MIA! was created by three women, is all about female friendship and support, and is embraced and loved by women of all ages all over the world so where better to start raising awareness of ovarian cancer than to make even more women aware of the signs and symptoms.

To kickstart the partnership, the distinguished couture designer Elizabeth Emanuel – of Atelier Elizabeth – has exclusively designed a t-shirt in her own distinctive style featuring an iconic image of a MAMMA MIA! Dynamo in both gold and silver foil etched with Elizabeth’s renowned elegant calligraphy. The Dynamo t-shirt comes in both gold on black and silver on white. And there is a very special limited edition of each with exquisite Swarovski crystal embellishment. Each t-shirt comes with a special hangtag, sharing the symptoms of ovarian cancer to raise awareness of this devastating disease.

The t-shirts are available online and at the London and UK & International tour productions’ theatres’ of MAMMA MIA! for £20, with £9 going directly to Target Ovarian Cancer from each sale.

MAMMA MIA! creator and producer Judy Craymer said “I’ve seen at first hand the devastation of this disease and the work of Target Ovarian Cancer is essential to save more lives. As the show has such a strong female audience and cast, I thought it would be an ideal collaboration for MAMMA MIA! to work with Target Ovarian Cancer. We are delighted to be working together and to in some small way help to raise awareness. Every t-shirt sold will help fund life-saving awareness, research and support, spreading the word a little further to save lives in the future.”

Target Ovarian Cancer Chair Emma Kane said: “Survival rates from ovarian cancer in the UK are among the worst in Europe. Target Ovarian Cancer is transforming the lives of women with ovarian cancer now and in the future. Working in partnership with MAMMA MIA! will help us to reach thousands more people, to raise awareness, offer support and save lives.”
