After accidentally missing the milestone 4000th performance, Mischief has marked the 4001st performance of The Play That Goes Wrong at London’s Duchess Theatre with the debut of a brand-new West End cast.

Sunday 1 June saw the final curtain for the 10th Anniversary cast, and the transition was celebrated with a special video featuring both outgoing and incoming companies.

The new cast includes Izzy Edmunds-Clarke as Annie, Jack Hardwick as Chris, Robert Jackson as Robert, Jonty Peach as Jonathan, Charlotte Scott as Sandra, Mitesh Soni as Dennis, Tom Wainwright as Max, and Ronnie Yorke as Trevor.

Winston the dog also returns to play Winston the dog—if he can be found.

Understudies for the production are Alex Blackie, Jake Burgum, Kitty Devlin, Louise Hoare, and Ed Shamwana.

Now in its 11th year, The Play That Goes Wrong continues its record-breaking run, booking until August 2026. The production has seen over 2,600 fire extinguishers used and more than 125,545 on-stage mishaps.

The Olivier Award-winning comedy first opened at the Duchess Theatre in September 2014, following its humble beginnings at The Old Red Lion Theatre, where it played to just four paying customers.

The show’s enduring success is a testament to the creativity and perseverance of Mischief, a company formed by a group of drama school graduates who have since built an extraordinary body of work.

The Media Night for the new cast will take place on Thursday 3 July 2025.
