The Mercury Theatre in Colchester has announced the full cast and creative team for its 2025 pantomime, Mother Goose, running from 22 November 2025 to 18 January 2026.

This festive production marks the first pantomime directed by the theatre’s new Artistic Director, Natasha Rickman, who joined the Mercury in January 2025.

It also celebrates a decade of the beloved onstage partnership between Antony Stuart-Hicks and Dale Superville, who return as Gertie Goose and Billy The Goose.

The script will be penned by David Phipps-Davis, nominated for Best Script at the UK Pantomime Awards 2025 for The New Adventures of Peter Pan.

Returning as Designer is Jasmine Swan, whose award-winning work has become a staple of Mercury pantomimes.

Colchester-born Daisy Greenwood stars as Gracie Goose, returning to the Mercury ten years after performing in the Junior Chorus.

She is joined by Kemi Clarke as Bailey, with Sasha Latoya and Jaimie Pruden returning as Fairy Fortuna and Baroness Bellinora Badapple.

Dee Dee Rivers and Nathan Rigg also return as Ensemble/Understudies, both having started in the Mercury’s Junior Chorus.

The full cast includes:

  • Kemi Clarke as Bailey
  • Daisy Greenwood as Gracie Goose
  • Sasha Latoya as Fairy Fortuna
  • Jaimie Pruden as Baroness Bellinora Badapple
  • Nathan Rigg as Male Ensemble/Understudy
  • Dee Dee Rivers as Female Ensemble/Understudy
  • Antony Stuart-Hicks as Gertie Goose
  • Dale Superville as Billy The Goose

The creative team features Natasha Rickman (Director), David Phipps-Davis (Writer), Jasmine Swan (Designer), Antony Stuart-Hicks (Creative Consultant), Jane Lalljee (Lighting Designer), Lex Kosanke (Sound Designer), Joshua Tarrier (Musical Director), Rosie Mather (Choreographer), Dale Superville (Assistant Director), and Cree Rayner (Fight Coordinator).

Natasha Rickman said:

“I can’t wait to get into rehearsals with this phenomenal cast for Mother Goose. Of course it’s very special to be celebrating ten years of ASH and Dale, with the rest of the cast including some familiar faces, including those who have come full circle from performing in the Mercury pantomime as children and are now returning to us as professionals. We’ve got plenty of spectacle, music and magic up our sleeves to make this Christmas egg-stra special”

Antony Stuart-Hicks added:

“It is such a joy for Dale and I to be celebrating our 10th Mercury panto together – we’ve not stopped laughing since the first day we met. We love the Mercury audiences – who’ve been so generous to us over the last decade. Come celebrate with us – Mother Goose is going to be a very special panto!”
