Producers of The Hunger Games: On Stage have announced a new cast for the acclaimed theatrical adaptation as the production enters its second year at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.
From Friday 23 October 2026, Elizabeth Anderson will take on the role of Katniss Everdeen, joined by Vinnie Copeland as Peeta Mellark, Nathan Stokes as Gale Hawthorne, Daisy Statham as Prim, Alix Dunmore as Mrs. Everdeen, Isabel Della-Porta as Effie Trinket and Theo Ogundipe as Cinna.
Joining the company are television and stage stars Neil McDermott, known for EastEnders, as Haymitch Abernathy, and Daniel Brocklebank, recognised for Coronation Street, as Caesar Flickerman.
Academy Award nominee John Malkovich will continue to appear on screen as President Snow.
The wider company includes returning cast members Aiya Agustin, Geo Bailey, Alexandra Barredo, Jessica Daugirda and Luca Moscardini, alongside a host of new performers joining the production.
The current cast will play their final performance on Monday 18 October 2026.
Based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novel and the blockbuster Lionsgate film, The Hunger Games: On Stage opened at the purpose-built Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, a 1,200-seat theatre-in-the-round venue created specifically for the production.
The stage adaptation has been written by Conor McPherson and is directed by Matthew Dunster. The production features a creative team including Miriam Buether, Charlotte Broom, Lucy Carter, Ian Dickinson for Autograph, Tal Rosner, Chris Fisher, Kev McCurdy, John Maddox, James Maloney and Amy Ball CDG.
Set in a dystopian future, The Hunger Games follows Katniss Everdeen as she volunteers in place of her sister and is forced to compete in a televised fight for survival. As she battles for her life in the arena, Katniss becomes an enduring symbol of resistance against the oppressive Capitol.
The stage production is currently booking at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre until 14 February 2027.
