Rose Theatre and Welsh National Theatre have released new production images for their staging of Our Town, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning classic. The production marks the inaugural outing for Welsh National Theatre and is presented in collaboration with Rose Theatre in Kingston upon Thames.

Starring Michael Sheen as the Stage Manager and directed by Swansea‑born Francesca Goodridge, the production offers a fresh Welsh perspective on Wilder’s exploration of love, life and mortality. Russell T Davies joins the team as creative associate.

This new staging opened earlier this year at Swansea Grand Theatre, before moving to Venue Cymru in Llandudno and Theatr Clwyd in Mold. It is now running at Rose Theatre in South West London from Thursday 26 February to Saturday 28 March 2026.

The all‑Welsh cast features Rithvik Andugula, Peter Devlin, Aisha‑May Hunte, Rebecca Killick, Alfie Llewellyn, Rhodri Meilir, Christina Modestou, Kimberley Noble, Yasemin Özdemir, Sian Reese‑Williams, Nia Roberts, Kingdom Sibanda, Gareth Snook, Gareth Tempest, Jâms Thomas, Matthew Trevannion and Rhys Warrington.

The creative team includes writer Thornton Wilder, director Francesca Goodridge, creative associate Russell T Davies, designer Hayley Grindle, movement director Jess Williams, lighting designer Ryan Joseph Stafford, composer, sound designer and musical director Dyfan Jones, vocal coach Dewi Hughes, casting director Sam Jones CDG, assistant director Dena Davies, and executive producers Pádraig Cusack and David Sloan.
