Omnibus Theatre and Little Matchstick Factory will present The Other Mozart from 14 to 18 April 2026, bringing Sylvia Milo’s internationally acclaimed play to London for a strictly limited run.

The award‑winning work tells the true story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Amadeus, whose prodigious talent as a keyboard virtuoso and composer once earned acclaim across Europe. Her legacy was later overshadowed, her compositions lost to history.

Set within an extraordinary 18‑foot dress, the production transports audiences into a world of opulence shaped by societal constraint. Inspired by the Mozart family’s humorous and poignant letters, the play allows Nannerl to reclaim her voice and her place in musical history.

Nathan Davis and Phyllis Chen, known for their work with Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival, provide original music featuring clavichords, bells, music boxes, teacups and fluttering fans, creating a vivid soundscape of Nannerl’s inner world.

Following a five‑star run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the production now makes its London debut. Critics have described the show as “strikingly beautiful” (New York Times), “a gem of a show” (The Stage) and “hauntingly beautiful” (LA Times).
