The producers of One Day The Musical have announced the complete cast and creative team for the production’s forthcoming West End transfer to the Garrick Theatre, alongside the release of a new teaser featuring Jamie Muscato performing the song ‘You’.
The musical, based on David Nicholls’ bestselling novel and its acclaimed screen adaptations, will begin performances at the Garrick Theatre from 17 November 2026.
Jamie Muscato will return as Dexter, opposite Sharon Rose as Emma, reprising the roles they previously originated. The newly released teaser of ‘You’ captures a pivotal moment in the story as Dexter comes to understand his true feelings for Emma.
Joining Muscato and Rose in the cast are Dan Buckley, Dougie Carter, Anna-Jane Casey, Ross Dawes, Christopher Dickins, Vanessa Fisher, Kelly Hampson, Jennifer Louise Jones, Romona Lewis-Malley, Rosalía Morales, Ewan Murphy and Tom Mussell.
The roles of Jasmine and Sonia will be shared by Bonnie Harper, Esmae Kevany, Hannah McIntyre and Ava-Rae Timewell.
Based on the beloved novel that has sold more than five million copies worldwide, One Day The Musical follows Emma and Dexter over two decades, charting their friendship, romance, missed opportunities and life-changing moments through a series of encounters on the same day each year.
The musical features a book by David Greig, music and lyrics by Abner and Amanda Ramirez of the band JOHNNYSWIM, and additional material by Jeremy Sams. It is directed by Max Webster.
The creative team also includes choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set and costume designer Rae Smith, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Simon Baker, video designer Lewis den Hertog and musical supervisor Nigel Lilley.
Produced by Simon Friend and Hanna Osmolska for Melting Pot, the production arrives in the West End following its acclaimed premiere and promises a fresh musical interpretation of one of the most celebrated love stories of the 21st century.
