One Trick Pony Release Charity Single A New Hope

One Trick Pony are a Northern-bred, London-based, UK Country Duo composed of Georgia Lennon and Michael Pickering. With the pair rooted in Musical Theatre, Michael is best recognised for his work as a leading man across Starlight Express, Joseph, Wicked and Jersey Boys, to name but a few, and Georgia is a 2020 Graduate and upcoming rising star.

One Trick Pony will release their fourth single, ‘A New Hope’, on April 30th across all major music platforms. A full scale music video featuring West End and Broadway stars is set to follow.

‘A New Hope’ was written solely by Michael and takes the duo to an unheard avenue of their country sound with a heartbreaking narrative and darker subject matter. The song describes a situation surrounding a person who has remained in an abusive relationship for too long, but has found the strength to leave.

The song emotes that moment of fear and indecision felt before the biggest decisions of your life. The narrative still possesses that all-encompassing feeling however, allowing listeners to find their own story within the music. But in true One Trick Pony style there is always that silver lining, and this one is the light at the end of the tunnel… ‘A New Hope’.

Testament to this important story, One Trick Pony have collaborated with notable organisation; Together We Stand UK on this release, forming their Official Campaign Song. The organisation supports victims of abuse and harassment within the arts, which is very close to their hearts as artists within the theatre and music industries.

The organisation is doing instrumental work within the arts sectors. All proceeds from this single will be donated to Women’s Aid, with the main aim of the release set to raise significant awareness of the important issue.

The track can be purchased for just 99p on iTunes, with every single penny going directly to Women’s Aid. The official campaign song can also be streamed across all major music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer.
