The original cast recording of The Devil Wears Prada: A New Musical is officially out today, available on CD, digital, and LP formats via Island EMI.

The album features the brand-new single Dress Your Way Up, performed by Matt Henry, MBE and Georgie Buckland, who play Nigel and Andy in the West End production. It joins previously released tracks Miranda Girl and The Devil Wears Prada, performed by Vanessa Williams and Matt Henry, MBE.

Fans will also be treated to two never-before-heard Elton John demos: I Mean Business and The Devil Wears Prada, offering a rare glimpse into the musical’s creative development.

The Devil Wears Prada: A New Musical has broken box office records at the Dominion Theatre, becoming the fastest-selling show in the venue’s history.

With music by Elton John, lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, and a book by Kate Wetherhead, the musical celebrates fashion, ambition, and self-discovery. The cast recording includes all 18 songs from the show, performed by the original West End cast: Vanessa Williams (Miranda), Matt Henry, MBE (Nigel), Georgie Buckland (Andy), Amy Di Bartolomeo (Emily), Rhys Whitfield (Nate), and James Darch (Christian).

The LP version features a curated selection of 12 tracks, while the CD and digital editions include the full set plus Elton John’s original demos.

Elton John said: “The subject matter of The Devil Wears Prada absolutely screams out for music. It’s been one of my favourite films of the last 20 years, so when the conversation came up about me writing the music for the stage version, it was an absolute no-brainer. I’m always looking forward, never backwards, so it absolutely had to be a modern, contemporary score. The best musicals leave people with a joyous feeling, and that’s completely how I felt writing this. It has been wonderful to see the response & success of the stage show and hearing the fantastic reactions to the songs.”

The production boasts an award-winning creative team including director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, set designer Tim Hatley, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Gareth Owen, and casting by Jill Green CDG.

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the 2006 film, The Devil Wears Prada is a stylish and empowering musical that asks: what kind of person do you truly want to be?
