The play centres on Maggie Frisby, a once‑revolutionary rock icon whose life has descended into disillusionment. Once the searing voice of 60s counterculture, Maggie now faces the collapse of her band’s rebellious dreams, hurtling through a night of rage, music and survival. Written 50 years ago, David Hare’s trailblazing play ignited The Royal Court, and returns with renewed fire for a new generation.
TEETH ‘N’ SMILES is written by David Hare and directed by Daniel Raggett, with music by Nick Bicât and lyrics by Tony Bicât, plus additional new music and lyrics by Rebecca Lucy Taylor.
The creative team includes set design by Chloe Lamford, costume design by Alex Mullins, lighting design by Matt Daw, sound design by Ben and Max Ringham and music supervision by Liam Godwin. Casting is by Bryony Jarvis‑Taylor CDG, with George Jibson serving as associate director.
