The Young Vic Theatre has unveiled production images for Entertaining Mr Sloane, directed by Artistic Director and CEO Nadia Fall.

The revival of Joe Orton’s queer cult classic is currently running at the Young Vic until 8 November 2025, with its press night scheduled for 24 September.

Making his stage debut is Jordan Stephens of Rizzle Kicks fame, starring as the enigmatic Mr Sloane. He is joined by Tamzin Outhwaite (Abigail’s Party), Daniel Cerqueira (A Gentleman in Moscow), and Christopher Fairbank (Auf Wiedersehen, Pet).

Entertaining Mr Sloane is a ruthless, dark comedy that remains as provocative and shocking today as it was 62 years ago.

The creative team includes Set & Costume Designer Peter McKintosh, Lighting Designer Richard Howell, Sound Designer Tingying Dong, Movement Director James Cousins, Casting Director Amy Ball CDG, Fight and Intimacy Director Haruka Kuroda, Voice & Dialect Coach Richard Ryder, Wigs, Hair & Make-Up Designer Carole Hancock, Costume Supervisor Yvonne Milnes, Props Supervisor Jamie Owens, and Jerwood Assistant Director Alex Hurst.

The story follows lonely Kath (Tamzin Outhwaite), who offers the mysterious Mr Sloane (Jordan Stephens) a room to rent in the family home. Her brother Ed (Daniel Cerqueira) is initially disapproving, but soon becomes equally captivated. Only their elderly father Dada (Christopher Fairbank) remains suspicious, convinced he recognises the stranger.

What begins as a simple living arrangement quickly spirals into a dangerous game of desire and deceit.
