New production images have been released for The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, which has officially launched its first-ever UK tour in Windsor.
The musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s bestselling novel is set to electrify audiences across the UK this autumn and into 2026.
Leading the cast is Vasco Emauz (Back To The Future: The Musical) as Percy Jackson, joined by Kayna Montecillo (Starlight Express) as Annabeth and Cahir O’Neill ([title of show]) as Grover.
They are joined by Simone Robinson (Coming to England) as Sally Jackson, Niall Sheehy (Miss Saigon) as Mr Bruner, and Aidan Cutler (Back to the Future: The Musical) as Mr D.
Also featured are Ellie-Grace Cousins (Mamma Mia!) as Clarisse, Paolo Micallef as Luke, and Alex Anderton, Abe Armitage, Joseph Connor, Ellouise Delooze, Becca Francis, and Amy McEvoy in the ensemble.

The UK tour opened at Theatre Royal Windsor from 15–23 August 2025 and will visit venues including Newcastle, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Brighton, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, Bradford, Wimbledon, and Portsmouth.
In 2026, the tour continues to Cardiff Wales Millennium Centre (14–17 January) and Birmingham Hippodrome (24–28 February), with more dates to be announced.
Based on the beloved book series with over 180 million copies sold worldwide, The Lightning Thief has previously been adapted into films and a hit Disney+ TV series.
The musical premiered off-Broadway in 2014 and enjoyed multiple US tours, a Broadway run in 2019, and a critically acclaimed West End stint at The Other Palace.
When Percy Jackson discovers he is the half-blood son of Poseidon, he’s thrust into a world of gods, monsters, and destiny.
With powers he can’t control and a prophecy he doesn’t want, Percy must learn what it means to be a hero.

The musical features a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill), music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs), and is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day).
Design and creative credits include Ryan Dawson Laight (set and costume), Tim Deiling (lighting), Dan Samson (sound), Matt Powell (video), Jeremy Wootton (musical supervision), Will Joy (musical direction), Richard Pinner (illusions), and Lisa Connell (fight direction).
Associate roles are filled by Libby Watts (director & choreographer) and Christophe Eynde (set & costume).
