A major fundraising gala celebrating two pillars of British entertainment history will take place at the Victoria Palace Theatre on 1 November 2026.
Raise the Roof! will bring together Elstree Studios and Denville Hall, both marking their centenary years, for a special evening supporting Denville Hall’s Centenary Appeal.
Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the event will unite stars from film, television, theatre and music for a night of entertainment, celebration and fundraising, with further guest performers still to be announced.
The gala aims to celebrate the shared legacy of two institutions that have played significant roles in British entertainment for the past century while helping secure Denville Hall’s future for generations to come.
Denville Hall opened in 1926 as a “haven of rest” for retired actors and actresses and has since expanded to support people from across the entertainment industry. Today it provides a full range of care services, including specialist dementia care.
Elstree Studios is also marking its 100th anniversary in 2026. Over the last century it has become one of the UK’s most recognised film and television production facilities, supporting generations of performers and creatives.
Funds raised through Raise the Roof! will contribute towards Denville Hall’s £26 million Centenary Appeal. The project will see the creation of two new assisted living buildings, alongside new facilities including a café, restaurant, cinema, rehabilitation and yoga studio, gym, and improved wheelchair-accessible gardens.
The appeal also aims to establish Alfred’s Fund, a new endowment named after Denville Hall founder Alfred Denville, to help support the organisation’s running costs over the next century.
The Presidents of the Centenary Appeal are Dame Helen Mirren, Sir Ian McKellen and Daniel Radcliffe.
Joanne Benjamin, Chair of Trustees at Denville Hall, said: “Our centenary is a chance to celebrate the remarkable people who have shaped British entertainment while ensuring that Denville can continue to be there for those who need us for the next 100 years.”

Celebrating side by side and raising money for Denville is a fitting way to mark such an important milestone.”

The event will take place at the Victoria Palace Theatre, with tickets priced from £35 and on sale now.
