Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has unveiled exciting details for its inaugural Family Takeover Day, set to take place on Sunday, 25 May 2025, as part of the Open Air Theatre Festival series. The day promises a variety of family-friendly shows and activities throughout the venue.

The Family Takeover Day will feature:

  • Bach to Baby Family Concert: Flute Fantasia at 10:30 am. This critically acclaimed concert series allows tots to dance and roam while parents enjoy top-notch performances by outstanding musicians.
  • Comedy Club 4 Kids at 11:30 am. This show brings the best stand-ups, sketch acts, and cabaret stars to entertain children aged 6+ and their families.
  • Fly-Kid at 12:30 pm. A daytime party featuring music from Beyoncé to Bruno Mars, with face painting, street dance lessons, and more.
  • Fold Your City from 10:30 am. An origami workshop where families can create large models inspired by the local area.
  • Play Build Play from 10:30 am. An exploration of the power of play with designers, makers, and educators.

In addition, Shakespeare for Every Day of the Year – Live! returns on 25 May at 7:30 pm. Following a sold-out performance in 2024, Allie Esiri will present another star-studded evening of Shakespeare scenes and speeches. The event will feature award-winning stage and screen actors performing excerpts from Esiri’s bestselling anthology.

Allie Esiri commented, “We are thrilled to bring Shakespeare for Every Day of the Year – Live! back to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. It’s a magical venue that perfectly complements the timeless works of Shakespeare.”
