Evening Standard Award-winner Rosalie Craig is set to return to the West End this summer, starring alongside Sean Hayes in the London premiere of Good Night, Oscar.
The critically acclaimed Broadway hit will open at the Barbican Theatre for a strictly limited seven-week run from 31 July to 21 September 2025.
Craig, best known for her standout performance as Bobbi in Company, will play June Levant. This marks her first West End role in several years.
Later this year, she will also appear in Riot Women, a new BBC One drama series by Sally Wainwright.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be returning to the West End to join the company of Good Night, Oscar as June Levant,” said Craig. “It’s a deeply compelling, razor-sharp piece of theatre, and stepping into this world alongside such a remarkable cast is a real privilege.”
She joins Emmy and Tony Award-winner Sean Hayes and Ben Rappaport, who reprise their roles as Oscar Levant and Jack Paar following a celebrated Broadway run.
Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright and directed by Lisa Peterson, Good Night, Oscar explores the life of Oscar Levant—actor, pianist, and notorious wit—during a memorable 1958 appearance on The Tonight Show.
Producer Howard Panter said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have Rosalie Craig join the cast of Good Night, Oscar. Her return to the West End is long overdue, and we’re excited for audiences to see her in this exceptional production. It will be an unforgettable experience.”
The cast also includes Daniel Adeosun as Alvin Finney, David Burnett as George Gershwin, Richard Katz as Bob Sarnoff, and Eric Sirakian as Max Weinbaum. Max Roll reprises his Broadway role as understudy for Oscar Levant and Bob Sarnoff.
Additional understudies include Tashinga Bepete, Ben Butler, Charlotte Hunter, and Ryan Speakman.
The Broadway production earned Sean Hayes the 2023 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play. Now, London audiences will experience this dazzling, darkly funny drama for the first time.
