ZooNation Records has announced the release of ‘Sylvia – The Essentials’, a 14-track album drawn from the hit musical Sylvia.

The album, produced by Grammy Award-winner Martin Terefe, is set for release on 5 May and is now available for pre-order across all major streaming platforms.

Alongside the album announcement, the second single ‘Stand Up’ has been released today and is available to download now.

The track features lead vocals by Sharon Rose, with music by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, additional music by Kate Prince, lyrics by Kate Prince and additional lyrics by Tachia Newall.

Sylvia stars Beverley Knight as Emmeline Pankhurst, reprising her Olivier Award-winning role, alongside Sharon Rose in the title role of Sylvia Pankhurst.

The musical tells the story of the rebellious middle child of Emmeline Pankhurst and her fight to improve the lives of working women and men at the heart of the Suffragette movement.

Following its sell-out world premiere at The Old Vic in 2023, Sylvia will return for a limited UK tour this Autumn.

Produced in association with Curve, the tour opens in Leicester on 24 September and will visit Birmingham Hippodrome, Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Salford Lowry, Norwich Theatre Royal and the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.

The tour culminates in five performances at the Royal Albert Hall from 13 to 15 November 2026, a venue closely linked to the history of the suffrage movement.
