SHE/HER, the acclaimed multimedia production created and directed by Nicole Ansari-Cox and produced by Brian Cox, Actors Rising Productions and The Playground Theatre, will return to London this autumn for a two-week run at The Playground Theatre.

Running from 24 November to 5 December 2026, the production arrives five years after its original premiere and four years after its celebrated Edinburgh Fringe appearance, bringing together a new ensemble of performers for its fourth iteration.

Described as “a testimony with a pulse”, SHE/HER combines spoken-word monologues, original live music, video and dance, with each performer drawing on their own lived experiences to create a deeply personal theatrical event.

The production explores women’s stories through themes of desire, humour, love, loss, resilience and survival, offering audiences an authentic and often unflinching portrait of contemporary womanhood.

Created by award-winning actor, director, writer and producer Nicole Ansari-Cox, the show premiered in New York before transferring to the UK. Following sold-out performances at the 2026 Women’s Voices Festival, the production was invited back to The Playground Theatre for a full London engagement.

This latest version features performances from Antoinette Cooper, Bogdana Kalantay, Jasmine Thien, Juliet Garricks, Kate Rigg, Michelle Joyner, Sadie Jemmett, Sara Amini, Naomi Sorkin and Violeta Vicci.

Ansari-Cox said: “When women’s stories are told raw and unfiltered, they stop being reduced to victims. What emerges is a kaleidoscope of lived experience and truth we rarely see on stage.”

The production aims to amplify voices that have often been minimised or overlooked, placing women’s experiences at the centre of the storytelling through a dynamic blend of performance styles and artistic disciplines.

Previous productions have been met with critical acclaim, with The Guardian praising the show’s monologues for brimming “with generosity in their form and content”, while FEST described it as “A collective space of female solidarity and empathy — a polished, original production.”

SHE/HER runs at The Playground Theatre from 24 November to 5 December 2026, with performances at 7.30pm and selected matinees.
