Slapdash Improv Festival

From 16-22 October, some of the world’s top improvisers will descend on the city for the annual Slapdash International Improv Festival – the longest-running festival of improvised theatre and comedy in the UK! Slapdash is a week-long celebration, hosting seven days of workshops, three nights of shows, and an array of improvisers from across the Globe!

Improv has long been the training ground for actors and comedians such as Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Bill Murray, Amy Poehler, Dan Aykroyd and Jordan Peele in the US and is growing at an exciting rate in London, throughout the UK, and across the world!

Organised by The Nursery, which has been bringing improvisation to Londoners for almost a decade, this year’s festival headliners include Armando Diaz, who is regarded as one of the best improv teachers in America and has written sketches for Comedy Central and performed on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Hawaiian group On The Spot Improv, making their international debut with their improvised silent movie Hush, and the first ever Slapdash International Cast, a team of improvisers from six different countries, trained by the best and thrown together for ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY!

In addition the festival has guest improvisers teaching classes from Instinctive Storytelling and Stage Dynamics to Anime Improv, Improvised Penny Dreadfuls and Hitchcocked: From Stage To Screen.

Shows take place at The Nursery Theatre, Broadgate and workshops are spread between The Nursery’s Broadgate venue and its Training Centre at London Bridge. For further information and the full line-up of shows and workshops visit: http://slapdashfestival.com
