The sold-out Edinburgh Fringe hit HOLE! will make its London debut at Soho Theatre this summer before returning to the Fringe for 2026.
Written and performed by Jake Brasch and Nadja Leonhard-Hooper, the two-hander musical comedy will run in Soho Theatre’s main space from 17 July to 1 August at 9.30pm.
Following its London run, HOLE! will return to the Edinburgh Fringe from 5 to 31 August at Underbelly Cowbarn, playing at 9.30pm.
The production enjoyed a sold-out Fringe season in 2025 and has recently played New York’s Public Theater at Joe’s Pub, where a live album of the show was recorded and is now available to stream.
Created under the banner of American Sing-Song (A.S.S.), HOLE! is described as an outrageous yet heartfelt musical comedy blending brazen naughtiness with sincerity.
The show follows a strict religious sect in Nebraska who believe they are the last humans alive after an apocalyptic event called ‘The Great Sucking’.
When two young fanatics are sent on a life-changing journey, they begin to discover the true meaning of love, life, and HOLE!.
The production is directed by RJ Tolan and produced by Benjamin Nelson and David Thomas Tao alongside UK Executive Producers Indigo Productions.
Design credits include set design by Emmie Finckel, lighting design by Paige Seber, sound design by Eamon Goodman and costume design by Hahnji Jang, with movement by Fringe First winners Xhloe & Natasha.
Producers Benjamin Nelson and David Thomas Tao said, “Jake Brasch and Nadja Leonhard-Hooper are two of the most deranged genius playwrights working today. As American Sing-Song, they’re an unstoppable force of joy and lunacy in a world that sorely needs it. It’s an honor to help bring their vision to the stage. We strongly encourage audiences to show up curious and receptive.”
UK Executive Producers James Lane and Ed McGovern added, “We have seldom seen such a response to a show as the one HOLE! received last year. It is completely singular and the intrigue building around this show will be of no surprise to those lucky enough to have caught it so far.”
