Thomas Hopkins Productions has announced an exclusive industry presentation of Step By Step, a brand-new British comedy by two-time Olivier nominee and Tony® Award nominee Peter Quilter.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, 24 September at Soho Theatre.

Step By Step features a stellar cast including Denise Welch (Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, Boy Meets Girl, Hollyoaks), Gaynor Faye (Playing The Field, Fat Friends, Coronation Street, The Syndicate, The Inheritance), and Lorraine Bruce, best known for playing Denise in all four seasons of The Syndicate.

The production will be directed by Sarah Frankcom, former Artistic Director of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. Her acclaimed work includes collaborations with Maxine Peake (Hamlet, Miss Julie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Happy Days) and premieres of plays by Simon Stephens, including the Olivier Award-winning On the Shore of the Wide World.

The play follows three women who embark on a two-day hike to honour a recently deceased friend. Each carries an inscribed stone to place at the summit as a memorial. But the journey proves to be as challenging, unexpected, ridiculous, and hilarious as life itself.
