Stratford East has revealed its festive pantomime for Christmas 2026: Robin Hood and the Merry Mandem, a rip-roaring East End twist on the classic tale. The production runs from 21 November 2026 to 2 January 2027, with pre-sale tickets available now at stratfordeast.com and general sale from Wednesday 17 December at 12pm. Tickets start from just £10.
Written by BAFTA-nominated writer Yolanda Mercy (Queenie, Channel 4/Disney; Failure Project, Soho Theatre) and directed by Olivier Award-winning director Jade Lewis (Sleepova, Bush Theatre; Superhoe, Royal Court), who is also Associate Artistic Director of Stratford East, the show promises a fresh, vibrant take on the legendary outlaw. The duo previously collaborated on Quarter Life Crisis at the Bridge Theatre.
Lisa Spirling, Artistic Director and joint CEO of Stratford East, and Hanna Streeter, Executive Director and joint CEO, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome the brilliant BAFTA-nominated writer Yolanda Mercy to Stratford East with her raucous Robin Hood and the Merry Mandem, directed by Stratford East’s Associate Artistic Director Jade Lewis. This Robin Hood will be a festive delight for all the family, come join the fun.”
Set in the heart of E15, this Robin Hood swaps Sherwood Forest for Stratford streets. Expect the Merry Mandem zipping across East London, dodging the Central line rush, and taking from the rich to back the poor. With stunning sets, dazzling costumes and rip-roaring comedy, this panto promises an East End spectacle to remember.
