The Coronet Theatre has unveiled its Autumn and Winter 2026 season, presenting an ambitious programme of international theatre, dance, performance art, poetry and music from artists working at the forefront of contemporary practice.

Artistic Director Anda Winters has curated a season featuring acclaimed companies and performers from Taiwan, Germany, South Korea, Norway, the Czech Republic and the UK, with work that combines cutting-edge innovation and traditional artistic forms.

Commenting on the new season, Winters said: “For me, the artist is at the heart of the programme, and I work closely with the makers of the pieces I bring to London, sometimes watching and encouraging them for years. In this increasingly fractious world, I feel strongly that one of the greatest uniting forces is the international language of, and desire of all of us, to engage with art, whether as a maker or spectator.

“My goal is to fill the theatre spaces – the Main House, Print Room Studio, and bar – with diverse and wonderful arts from across the world, celebrating all its many forms, and the audiences who enjoy them.”

The season opens with Current/y from Taiwanese collective Chen Yi Studio, a technologically ambitious performance exploring identity in the digital age through interactions between a performer and her virtual avatar.

The Coronet’s Poetry Club returns on 25 September with T.S. Eliot Prize winner Anthony Joseph and acclaimed poet Rachel Long, who will discuss and read from their latest collections.

October includes the UK presentation of Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis from the Berliner Ensemble, directed by Oliver Reese and performed by award-winning actor Jens Harzer, alongside Questioning the Line, a new performance work by multidisciplinary artist Movana Chen.

Korean choreographer Boram Kim brings his acclaimed solo work Gwantong 18 to London for its only international performance, while Taiwanese company D_Antidote Production presents Non-Ordinary Services and Palingenesis, two visually striking contemporary dance works exploring identity, intimacy and transformation.

November sees The Coronet reunite with the Made in Prague Festival for Ballerinas, Miřenka Čechová’s autobiographical examination of the elite ballet world. The month also includes Tacit Group’s immersive AI-generated concert experience and the UK premiere of Nobel Prize winner Jon Fosse’s Skodespelet (The Play) from Det Norske Teatret.

The season concludes with the fifth edition of The Coronet Theatre Jazz Festival, curated by acclaimed trumpeter and composer Byron Wallen, bringing together international jazz artists for two nights of live performance.
