The Devil Wears Prada will continue its stylish reign in the West End after announcing a further extension at London’s Dominion Theatre, with bookings now available through to 25 September 2027.
The hit musical, which opened in the West End in December 2024, has become the fastest-selling show in the Dominion Theatre’s history, selling more than 1.2 million tickets to date.
As anticipation builds around London Fashion Week and developments at fictional fashion magazine Runway, the production has also confirmed that Matt Henry will remain in the role of Nigel until February 2027.
Featuring music by Elton John, The Devil Wears Prada has established itself as one of the West End’s most glamorous productions, with more than £1.5 million worth of fashion incorporated into the show. Costumes feature celebrated fashion houses including Dior, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Balmain, alongside vintage and second-hand pieces.
Renowned British footwear brand Terry de Havilland has also supplied more than 80 pairs of shoes for the production.
The musical will celebrate another major milestone on 23 September 2026 when it reaches its 800th performance at the Dominion Theatre.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the blockbuster film adaptation, The Devil Wears Prada follows aspiring journalist Andy as she lands a prestigious job at Runway magazine working for the formidable editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. Drawn into a world of glamour and ambition, Andy must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice in pursuit of success.
The production’s award-winning creative team includes Elton John, director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, lyricists Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, book writer Kate Wetherhead, set designer Tim Hatley, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Gareth Owen and casting director Jill Green CDG.
Produced by Kevin McCollum, David Furnish and Jamie Wilson in co-production with Theatre Royal Plymouth and presented by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical, the musical also released its original West End cast recording last year, which charted as the number one new release on the compilations chart.
