The West End’s newest supergroup Leading Ladies – starring Amber Riley (“Dreamgirls”), Beverley Knight (“The Bodyguard”), and Cassidy Janson (“Beautiful”) – have announced a new double A-side single ‘I’m Every Woman’ and ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’. Both tracks are taken from the Top 20 hit new album “Songs From The Stage” – which also features the BBC Radio 2 A-List single ‘One Night Only’.
‘I’m Every Woman’ – the stomping disco anthem made famous by Chaka Khan and later, Whitney Houston – hears Beverley Knight take the lead. Knight memorably brought the song to life night after night as Rachel Marron in the West End production of “The Bodyguard”. ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ – led by Amber Riley – is a heartfelt, must-have for the festive season.
The Leading Ladies made their epic TV debut on BBC One’s Children In Need special with a soaring performance of ‘The Wind Beneath My Wings’. The Leading Ladies will perform on Strictly Come Dancing on 3rd December, and The Royal Variety Show on 17th December.
“Songs From The Stage” hears the Leading Ladies bring to life classics from musicals such as “Dreamgirls”, “The Bodyguard”, “Beautiful”, “Cats”, “Rent”, “Funny Girl”, “Memphis”, “Hamilton” and more. The album is produced by Grammy Award-winning British producer Brian Rawling, who has worked with chart-topping artists such as Cher, Tina Turner and Lionel Richie.
