Shear Madness announces cast for summer run at The Mill at Sonning

The Mill at Sonning has revealed its full slate of in-house productions for 2026, promising a year of world premieres, iconic mysteries, and musical theatre magic.
Following the previously announced farce Cash On Delivery by Michael Cooney (5 February – 4 April), the season kicks off with the world stage premiere of Jack & Sarah (23 April – 14 June), adapted by Duncan Abel (The Girl On The Train) and directed by Abigail Pickard Price. Based on the beloved 1995 film starring Richard E. Grant and Dame Judi Dench, this heartwarming romantic comedy explores love, family, and second chances when a workaholic lawyer is left to raise his baby daughter alone.
Next, audiences become detectives in Shear Madness (25 June – 15 August), the internationally acclaimed whodunit by Paul Pörtner, directed by Artistic Director Sally Hughes. With over 13.8 million fans worldwide and the Guinness World Record for longest-running play in US history, this interactive comedy invites the audience to solve a murder mystery live on stage, guaranteeing a different ending every night.
Agatha Christie’s The Mirror Crack’d (4 September – 31 October), adapted by Rachel Wagstaff (The Da Vinci Code, Death Comes To Pemberley), brings Miss Marple back to the stage in a gripping tale of glamour, secrets, and betrayal. When a film star’s lavish party ends in tragedy, the ever-watchful sleuth uncovers a chilling web of obsession and revenge.
Finally, the festive season sparkles with Cole Porter’s Anything Goes (19 November 2026 – 17 January 2027). Packed with dazzling choreography, knockout vocals, and classic hits including “You’re the Top” and “I Get a Kick Out of You,” this all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy promises to be a joyous voyage aboard the S.S. American.
Casting for all productions will be announced in due course.
