Beloved Family Production Extends Nationwide Tour from February to April 2026

Rockefeller Productions and ROYO have confirmed new dates for the 2026 UK tour of Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, which begins at Harrogate Theatre on 16 February and runs until 11 April.

The production stars Abigail Bailey, Oliver Davis, Connor Keetley and Amber Wadey. The show has captivated audiences worldwide for more than seven years, bringing Eric Carle’s adored stories to life with over 75 puppets.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the production features faithful adaptations of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Busy Spider and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

       

Since its publication in 1969, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has sold more than 48 million copies globally. Brown Bear, Brown Bear has sold over 18.2 million copies and recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The stage adaptation is described as a vibrant celebration of Carle’s iconic storytelling and artwork.

Suitable for all ages, the show also includes the magical Christmas tale Dream Snow alongside Carle’s other favourites.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show was created by Jonathan Rockefeller, with Sophie Hirst serving as UK Associate Director.
