For over three decades, The Woman in Black captivated West End audiences with more than 13,000 performances at the Fortune Theatre, making it one of the longest-running plays in London theatre history.

Stephen Mallatratt’s chilling adaptation of Susan Hill’s novel follows a lawyer haunted by a mysterious spectre. As he enlists a young actor to help tell his story, the line between reality and illusion begins to blur.

First staged in 1987 at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, the production transferred to London’s Lyric Hammersmith in 1989 before settling into its legendary West End run.

Director Robin Herford returns to helm the tour, with designs by Michael Holt and lighting by Kevin Sleep.

Throughout its history, the production has remained committed to accessible ticket pricing, particularly for students and young audiences.
