Award-winning theatre company ThickSkin has announced an extended UK tour for its hit ghost story It Walks Around The House At Night, following a sell-out tour and London run.
The production embarks on a nationwide autumn tour from 24 September to 13 November 2026, opening at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch before visiting venues across England and Scotland.
Written by Bruntwood Prize-winning playwright Tim Foley, It Walks Around The House At Night blends eerie atmosphere, jump scares and dark humour in a tightly wound ghost story perfectly timed for the spookiest months of the year.
The show stars George Naylor as Joe, a desperate out-of-work actor who takes a peculiar job as a ghost at an old countryside manor, only to discover something far more unsettling lurking in the shadows.
Oliver Baines joins the cast as The Dancer, a haunting presence whose appearance signals that Joe’s nights on the estate are spiralling dangerously out of control.
Tim Foley said: “It walks around the house again! Let’s hope It doesn’t get too dizzy. We’ve had an incredible reception to our production so far and I’m thrilled this ghost story will continue to horrify audiences across the UK. The question is, are you brave enough to join us?”
The production is directed by ThickSkin’s Artistic Director Neil Bettles and features immersive sound and striking visual effects.
The creative team includes Tony Award-winning sound designer Pete Malkin and Olivier Award-winning video and lighting designer Joshua Pharo, whose work creates an all-consuming after-dark experience.
ThickSkin is nationally recognised for bold, high-quality touring work including Driftwood and How Not To Drown, and continues to champion new writing and inventive storytelling from its base in Wigan.
Further tour dates are expected to be announced.
