Led by Piece of Cake Theatre Company (run by Shakira Newton and Ibraheem Toure) and in collaboration with carnival videographer Kam King Media, creatives with a connection to Notting Hill Carnival have come together in celebration, joy, and spirit to reflect upon its heritage and legacy.

You’re invited to join us honouring our community culture – and be sure to stay for the post-show after-party, complete with DJ and the best vibes.

We Are Here – 31st March to 2nd April 2022

Dive headfirst into this portrait of our city, told through snatches of overheard conversations and snapshots of strangers’ lives. It’s those countless little moments that shape who we are, and why we are here.

Funny, sentimental, and a little absurd – People Show 142: WE ARE HERE weaves together a powerful collection of stories from the imaginations and real lives of our Neighbourhood Company through spoken word, performance, and song.

Bush Theatre’s resident adult performance group, Neighbourhood Company, is a company of 20 local people, running since 2016. Past productions include; The Neighbourhood Project (2016), Philoxenia (2019), and Keep a Light On For Those Who Are Lost (2020).

Tickets for both The Route and People Show 142: WE ARE HERE are priced £2.50 – £10 (or pay what you can) and available now from the Bush Theatre Box Office – bushtheatre.co.uk
