Following the critically acclaimed Swan Lake/ Loch na hEala, Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Michael Keegan-Dolan returns to Sadler’s Wells with a new production, MÁM, from Wednesday 5 – Friday 7 February in a Sadler’s Wells co-production.

The Irish-language word mám describes the pass that connects two sides of a mountain and is the inspiration for his new work. Bringing together the Irish concertina player Cormac Begley, the music collective s t a r g a z e and 12 dancers from around the world, MÁM is a meeting place between soloist and ensemble, classical and traditional, the local and universal.

Following its sold out and critically acclaimed run at the Dublin Theatre Festival from 25 September – 5 October, MÁM makes its UK premiere at Sadler’s Wells.

MÁM is co-produced by Teaċ Daṁsa, Dublin Theatre Festival; Sadler’s Wells London and New Zealand Festival of the Arts, with support from Nomad and NASC touring network.
This production is funded by an Arts Council Open Call Award. International touring is supported by Culture Ireland.
