Watford Palace Theatre has announced a vibrant and wide-ranging summer season for 2026, promising audiences an exciting mix of theatre, comedy, cabaret and live events from June through August.
The programme includes brand-new musicals, world-class dance, stand-up comedy, family shows and live talks, alongside work from Watford Palace Young Company.
Among the headline shows is Jah Making It Happen – A Reggae Musical, running on 13 June. Written and directed by Sadé Nicole, the new musical tells the story of a family adapting to life in Britain after migrating from Jamaica.
Comedy fans can look forward to The Last Laugh from 18 to 20 June, a new play by Paul Hardy imagining Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse together in a dressing room reflecting on life, death and comedy.
Young performers take centre stage as Watford Palace Young Company presents Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – Teen Edition from 1 to 2 August, telling the story of 16-year-old Jamie New overcoming prejudice to step into the spotlight.
Stand-up highlights include Double Trouble: Richard Blackwood & Tommy Sandhu on 12 June and Scummy Mummies: Hot Mess on 25 June, while Primetime Emmy nominee Michelle Wolf brings her show Best Job In The World to Watford on 27 June.
The summer season also features new weekly nights at the 1908 Cabaret, along with family-friendly events such as Baby Broadway, Tales from Acorn Wood and Enchanted – The Ultimate Princess Concert.
Beyond theatre and comedy, the programme includes An Audience with Troy Deeney on 10 June, Revelations: Songs Boys Don’t Sing with Craig Revel Horwood on 6 June and Still Pointless: BalletBoyz at 25, celebrating the company’s anniversary with a world premiere.
