The world premiere of 1.17am, or until the words run out by Zoe Hunter Gordon opens at Finborough Theatre from 10 February to 7 March 2026.

Directed by Sarah Stacey, this claustrophobic yet unexpectedly funny new play explores friendship, lies, and the truths we struggle to share with those closest to us.

One night, two friends, a dead man’s room. Katie and Roni were best friends—until they weren’t. Now, with Katie’s brother dead, the two find themselves together again in his bedroom. Tonight, they’re going to tell each other the truth. Because the truth will set you free—won’t it?

First developed with support from HighTide, 1.17am, or until the words run out comes to Finborough Theatre following three critically acclaimed sold-out previews at Theatre503.

The cast features Catherine Ashdown as Katie, previously Offie-nominated for her performance in Grud at Hampstead Theatre, and Eileen Duffy as Roni, last seen in Life with a Little L at Riverside Studios.
