Landmark Theatres has announced a brand-new production of 9 to 5 The Musical, set to tour the UK in summer 2026.

Opening at Peterborough New Theatre on 4 July 2026, the feel-good musical will visit Queen’s Theatre Barnstaple, Blackpool Grand, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, and Darlington Hippodrome.

With music and lyrics by country legend Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 The Musical follows three office workers who take revenge on their chauvinistic boss in a hilarious tale of friendship and empowerment.

Inspired by the iconic 1980s film, the show features toe-tapping tunes and a story that celebrates courage, sisterhood, and standing up for what’s right.

Produced by Landmark Theatres by arrangement with Music Theatre International, the production is directed by Paul Jepson, with musical supervision by Mark Crossland and set and costume design by Amanda Stoodley.

Paul Jepson, CEO and Creative Director at Landmark Theatres said: “This tour is an incredibly exciting step for Landmark, demonstrating how far we’ve come as a producing organisation and our commitment to creating vibrant, inclusive theatre. We’re thrilled to bring 9 to 5 The Musical back to the stage in our biggest tour to date showcasing our ambition to deliver bold, popular musical theatre beyond our own venues and connect with audiences across the country.”

He continued: “We’re bringing together the very best cast and creative talent as we continue to nurture both regional and national theatre-making. Our goal is to develop high-quality, accessible theatre that entertains, inspires, and celebrates the joy of live performance and we can’t wait to share this hilarious show with audiences across the UK.”
