Following four sell-out tours, Irish Christmas concert A Fairytale for Christmas is back for its biggest tour to date, culminating in a special performance at London’s Dominion Theatre.
From the producers of Seven Drunken Nights – The Story of the Dubliners, this festive celebration blends the joy of Christmas with the spirit of St Patrick’s Day. Audiences can expect a world-class concert featuring singers, musicians, and dancers delivering a unique Irish Christmas experience.
The show combines festive favourites like I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day, Step Into Christmas, and O Holy Night with Irish classics including The Irish Rover and Dirty Old Town. With three touring casts performing across the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia, A Fairytale for Christmas promises a sing-along extravaganza for all ages.
In 2024, the production sold over 200,000 tickets across 133 shows in five countries. This year’s tour will visit more than 50 venues, making it the largest yet.
Writer and director Ged Graham said:
“When people ask me to describe Fairytale, I tell them. What would happen if St Patrick’s Day collided with the best Christmas party you ever had? ….. A Fairytale for Christmas of course – it’s the ultimate Irish inspired Christmas celebration and a craic-ker of a show.”
The tour kicks off on 31 October at the Beck Theatre in Hayes and runs through to 22 December, with the West End press night taking place on 23 November at the Dominion Theatre.
