Sonia Friedman Productions has announced the West End transfer of The Old Vic’s Olivier Award-nominated production of Arcadia by Tom Stoppard.
Directed by Carrie Cracknell, the production will open at the Duke of York’s Theatre on Saturday 20 June and run until Saturday 12 September 2026.
The press night is scheduled for Wednesday 1 July at 7pm.
Speaking about the transfer, producer Sonia Friedman said: “Bringing Arcadia to the West End this summer feels less like a revival and more like a responsibility.”
She added: “Coming back to it now, I’m struck all over again by how alive it feels. Its ideas about time, truth, and what we can and can’t know don’t belong to the past, they feel immediate, even urgent.”
Friedman continued: “This production, set in the intimacy of the Duke of York’s Theatre and led by Carrie Cracknell, captures that balance beautifully. It’s bold, clear-eyed, and full of feeling.”
First staged at The Old Vic, Arcadia is a dazzling collision of science and romance, weaving between two timelines set in the same country house, as past and present interrogate curiosity, love and the nature of knowledge.
The creative team includes set designer Alex Eales, costume designer Suzanne Cave, lighting designer Guy Hoare, sound designer Donato Wharton, movement director Ira Mandela Siobhan, composer Stuart Earl and casting director Serena Hill CDG.
Casting for the West End production is yet to be announced.
Tickets are on sale now, with general booking opening at 12pm on Wednesday 22 April 2026.
