Brighton Dome has announced its Autumn 2026 events season, bringing an eclectic line-up of theatre, dance, music, comedy, spoken word and family entertainment to its three performance spaces.

The season places a strong emphasis on regional creativity, celebrating Sussex-based artists while welcoming acclaimed national and international performers to the city.

Lucy Davies, Director and CEO of Brighton Dome, says: “We are thrilled to share our autumn events programme for Brighton Dome’s three beautiful stages. We welcome some absolutely brilliant artists and performers this season, with local superstars appearing alongside international talents and a stellar line up for Brighton Dome Comedy Festival, our flagship autumn event. We are also bringing some really special theatre and dance to the city; music from all genres, eras and corners of the world; a rich Words and Debate programme and a host of treats for Christmas. Whatever your taste, we hope there is something for you to find light in as the nights draw in.”

Highlights from the theatre programme include Once Upon a Time in Sokoto by Inua Ellams, presented as part of the new Touring Together initiative, which aims to bring ambitious new theatre to audiences nationwide.

Also arriving this autumn is Woodhill, which combines documentary theatre and dance to explore the true story of three deaths at HMP Woodhill and the families’ search for answers.

Fresh from Edinburgh Fringe success, the Studio Theatre programme includes Man or Bear, Crush, Fire Fire, Nation and Louise Orwin’s FAMEHUNGRY.

Local artists remain at the heart of the season. East Sussex choreographer Ben Duke and Lost Dog Dance bring Juliet & Romeo to Brighton, while AFLO. the poet returns with his popular Status Flo spoken word events.

Brighton Dome will also host free community events including Heritage Open Day and Family Day Take Part, celebrating the city’s heritage and cultural diversity.

Classical music audiences can look forward to new seasons from Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra and the popular Coffee Concerts series, alongside performances by Katherine Jenkins and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Contemporary music highlights include Embrace’s 30th anniversary tour, Les Amazones D’Afrique, Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE.

Comedy fans can enjoy new shows from Phil Wang, Chris Ramsey and Lucy Beaumont, while Joe Marler records a live episode of his podcast at the venue. Chris Packham and Susie Dent will also appear as part of the spoken word and debate programme.

Family audiences are catered for with productions including In the Night Garden, Your Toys, Rabbit & Rey and the Lost Things and a series of interactive Crafty Kids workshops.

The programme also features work from LGBTQ+ artists, including Fatt Butcher’s Congregational and Thick & Tight’s Natural Behaviour.

The year concludes with a festive season featuring Ceilidh the Musical, seasonal concerts, Organoke, and Circa’s circus reimagining of Swan Lake, Duck Pond. Younger audiences can also enjoy Little Red Hen.
