Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and professional theatre production and training company Vivo D’Arte are delighted to announce their new venture, a School of Theatre Arts.

Opening in the New Year, the school follows two successful Stage Experience partnerships between the two businesses, and will offer the opportunity for budding performers to further develop their performance skills and gain an insight into all aspects of theatre in the vibrant atmosphere of an operating venue.

Vivo D’Arte and Aylesbury Waterside Theatre’s joint vision to create ‘a place for everyone’, underpinned with the key philosophy of nurturing individual talent through the right support whilst enjoying the magic that live performance can offer, will be realised as the doors are opened to the School of Theatre Arts in January.

This special collaboration will see the extensive and celebrated knowledge of the industry being shared, offering a totally unique, fun and imaginative new concept in training for aspiring young performers in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas.

Lee Duffy, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre General Manager said: ‘We’ve been privileged to welcome lots of young performers over the last eight years to showcase their talent and get a first-hand experience of theatre, and for us this feels like the next natural step. Being able to nurture home-grown talent within our very own venue walls will be incredibly rewarding, and with Vivo D’Arte’s expertise and passion, the delivery is set to be second to none.’

Dan Cowtan Vivo D’Arte Managing Director said: ‘Vivo D’Arte have always been a committed theatre arts training and production company, however to be given the opportunity to grow our partnership with Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and open our new weekly School of Theatre Arts is extremely exciting. We always strive to give our performers the very best in industry training, insight and experiences, and with a superb team and venue behind this venture we know we can give even more young people this wonderful opportunity’.

Students will be given the opportunity to meet professionals from the industry who will provide insights into the world of theatre, both onstage and off. This exclusive access alongside a full programme of learning, will give individuals the chance to achieve their potential whilst developing their skills across many theatrical disciplines.
